By means of this equipment, it is possible to achieve coloured ceramic slurries by continuously batching/feeding the concentrated colour in the base slurry, with a fully automatic process. The equipment is independent and located in the slurry preparation section before the spray-dryer feeding tanks; it can easily be installed even in existing productive installations.
The whole unit rests on a single base structure partially accessible to allow the checking and maintenance operations and can easily be transported in HIGH CUBE containers.
It consists of:
* 1 round tank made of stainless steel AISI 304 with 1.500 l. capacity, used for storing the base slurry, complete with stirrer and level continuous meter by ultrasounds;
* 2 round tanks made of stainless steel AISI 304 with 750 l. capacity, used for storing the pigments, complete with stirrer and level continuous meter by ultrasounds. The tanks are of the extractable type and are equipped with a proper frame for their transport by means of a fork lift truck;
* 1 washing water tank;
* 1 system for batching of the base slurry, complete with pumps and pipelines made of stainless steel AISI 304;
* 2 systems for batching of the pigments, complete with pumps and pipelines made of stainless steel AISI 304;
* 2 static mixers for homogenizing the pigment with the base slurry;
* 1 automated washing system of the slurry and the pigment pipelines;
* 1 switchboard for the motor control and the management of the continuous colouring process, complete with:
- touch screen for programming and displaying the operating parameters;
- for the execution of the program, the control of the equipment and the control of the alarms;
* 1 on-board electric plant;
* 1 compressed-air plant;
* 1 washing-water plant made of stainless steel AISI 304.
